Second UED Vote

In light of new events, it is time the UED had a change. (aka letting in a player with only 2 points, we all got to start somewhere, but we should have standards)

This is a second vote, I'm propossing.

If you still have yet to vote on circulars please do so, but ensure you now state which vote it is for.

Vote 2 is on the members of the UED. Who we should and shouldn't accept.

I think it is time any new members either have to be above a set amount of points or have to be within 20 systems of an active UED member.

I'm putting a poll here and I shall see your responses if you wish to leave them.

I will then take the vote to in game and see what happens, if I have someone who backs the idea in the forum.

and i just had to accept another player ranked very low

seriously I'm thinking I put it in before I have to do it again

mind you they might make valuable players, but out in galaxy 4 they aint much use to the bulk of the alliance

well if it were to happen I'd need a leader for the alliance from the original alliance

350+ is the minimum requirement I think ... it should increase over time !!!

probably the average player score should be the minimal limit

I would go as far as to impose a rank limit, rather than a points limit.

I would say around 1500 would be appropriate and move the rest of the players to a wing which they can move up from when they are the required rank. This may drop our overall ranking at the beginning Warick but to be honest there is nothing worse than a huge alliance of low ranked players. We would soon gain our points back as more powerful players would be attracted to our alliance.

We would soon have a small main alliance with perhaps 20-30 individuals who would be in the top 1000 and a larger weaker wing where our players can be supported and helped to rank up quickly.

I am agreed .....
We need everyone, but they can build them up in the wing... then we see how serious player they are.....

Second UED Vote

Member Rank Limit (MRL)

I am proposing we have a rank limit on those who wish to join the UED. This will ensure we are only accepting players who will be able to keep up with us in the stats and keep us as strong as we should be.

Members in the alliance under the limit could move to a wing alliance under a leader of our choosing.

Or we could simply keep the current members and just not accet those below.

The Vote is do we now implament a MRL???

Rank limit to be invited: top 1000 - 1050 I think ... and you should give current members who do not reach that rank (1000-1050) an appropriate time like 72 hours - 48 hours or something else (a week, 10 days, etc ...), of course - depending on their current rank, to improve their status otherwise they may be kicked out if they show no improvements ...

I would actually put the limit slightly higher than that to start with.

Around 1500 I would think, you would then put weekly or fortnightly increases of 50, so ranks 1450 and below, 1400 and below etc. This would keep our main alliance active and competitive, with members who get attacked badly being given maybe a week or two to recover.

To start with those who aren't within perhaps a hundred of that rank would be moved down, after all there is no point in giving a rank 9000 a month to improve to 1500, he/she would be far better of in the wing.

if we do get one i think down the track it can be fully absorbed back into the UED

Damn it's no good when the forum is dead....

Anyway I have made a player points limit rather then a rank limit for now. As well as a system limit, any player up to 30 systems away from another UED player gets a look. If they are further away and under the limit it's a no.

That's the way it is.

Over 90% of the votes were nulled the rest were yes....
